MUSCAT: Bilarab bin Haitham Initiatives, in partnership with Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, announced the organisation of the fifth edition of the Muscat Art Exhibition 2026, from October 28-30 at the exhibition hall.

This partnership comes as an extension of the initiatives' mission to empower individuals, enhance creativity, inspire innovation, and expand its journey that began with architecture to encompass visual arts, reaffirming their close connection to the identity of both place and human.

Through the organisation of the exhibition, Bilarab bin Haitham Initiatives aims to support artists, highlight their works, make the artistic experience accessible to various segments of society, and open a space for dialogue among artists, architects, and designers, thereby enhancing the presence of arts in the Sultanate of Oman's cultural landscape.

Eng Iyad al Rawas, representative of the initiatives, pointed out that holding this exhibition underscores the Initiatives' keenness to celebrate humans as the core of creativity, by offering an artistic space through which the horizons of inspiration expand, contributing to highlighting the participants' outputs and creations.

Said al Shanfari, CEO of Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, expressed his delight over partnering with Bilarab bin Haitham Initiatives to organise this year's edition of the Muscat Art Exhibition, given its role in enriching the exhibition experience, highlighting the diversity of the artistic scene, and providing the public with an opportunity to explore diverse artistic and cultural experiences.

The exhibition this year witnesses wide participation of more than 300 artists and will open its doors to the public over three days, daily from 2:00 PM to 10:00 pm. The Initiatives are participating in the exhibition with a dedicated pavilion showcasing a collection of selected paintings, each telling a different story that confirms that creativity is unified even if its languages and pathways vary.

It is worth noting that Bilarab bin Haitham Initiatives is a leading cultural and societal umbrella centred around Omani individuals. It began in 2022 with the launch of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design under the Royal blessing of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and under the supervision of HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, aiming to empower youth, support innovation, and enrich cultural and creative fields. — ONA
